Just arrived from Italy.  Light, not sweet, not too dry.  A delicious wine. More information to follow.

2012 Barbera d’Asti Superiore
The 2012 Barbera d’Asti has a intense yet clear and bright ruby red color with light orange shading.  A delicate bouquet with delicious hints of current, plum and ripe wild berry.  Asti is the name of a province, a town and a wine to be found in Piedmont, north-western Italy.  Since 2000, it has been possible to produce Barbera d’Asti Superiore, for which the wine must have an alcoholic strength of at least 12.5% by volume, and be aged for at least 14 months, 6 months of which stored in oak or chestnut barrels.  Many Superiore producers refine it in small oak barriques to obtain a rounder taste.  Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG)  Lower Alcohol 13.5%

2010 Brunello di Montalcino
The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is considered one of the outstanding production years in this exceptional region.  It is a deep intense ruby red garnet, with fruit and delicate influences of plum, cherry, blueberry, and some balsamic undertones.  Brunello di Montalcino has great structure, flavor persistent, elegant and harmonic.  It is the crown jewel of wines.  The Brunello produced from the Montalcino vineyards, has a density average of 3500 plants, and a south-southeast exposure grown in in clay soil with vines averaging 16 years old.  The wine is placed in stainless steel tanks for fermentation, then transferred into French Oak barrels for four years.  The average yearly production of bottles produced of Brunello di Montalcino is approximately about 26,000 bottles.

2015 Le Giare Vermentino
The color is bright, straw yellow with greenish hints.  Nose: delicate and elegant, with nuances ranging from white fruit to Sardinian aromatic herbs, including rosemary and thyme.  The palate is soft, fruity and lively.  It’s  a good wine enjoyable and “easy to drink”.  Alcohol 12.5%  Arriving in September, pre-order here.
