John ViciniJohn Vicini | Proprietor, Wine Making, Vineyard Manager

John Vicini’s fondest memory is from the age of 6, walking with his grandfather through the plush fields of vines in Tuscany, Italy, and listening to stories about growing and nurturing grapes. He grew up watching the villagers make wine and listened to stories about who could make the finest wine. Every winemaker had their own secret method. John learned early on that methodology was the secret to making a distinctive wine. He brought this knowledge with him to the United States when he came here at the age of 29. After 27 years as proprietor of one of the finest Italian restaurants in Santa Rosa, California, John retired and was finally able to start his own vineyard, beginning his dream of making his own wine with his wife Cathleen, and their son David.

cathy viciniCathy Vicini | Proprietor, Operations/Sales Manager

When not helping families as a practicing Psychotherapist, Cathy is the Co-Proprietor and Operations/Sales Manager at the family winery during the day. Never content to run a business she didn’t understand, Cathy attended the wine program at the Culinary Institute’s Wine Immersion Program in Greystone to learn about wine making and the nuances of the various wines. It has been her goal to understand what goes into winemaking and learn the subtleness in the various wines. Cathy loves sharing her passion for wine and stories about Trecini wine in the tasting room. She brings with her years of business experience as a previous owner and manager of a multi-location retail gift and clothing company.
